About us

Make-up Artist Provsions was started by make-up artists for make-up artists. we wanted to establish a friendly shop where whatever your budget you were always a welcome and valued face. We also wanted a shop that would be reliable at sending out orders phoned in from the middle of nowhere when stuck on location and in dire need of something urgently. Thirdly we wanted Make up artist provisions to become a meeting place where make up artists could come for a chat or an exchange of ideas.

After 11 years we hope we are fulfilling our first two aims, and now perhaps with the launch of our new website /catalogue on line we hope to be able to facilitate an internet site where ideas, tips and new products can be exchanged on line. We have tips and links from well established and well known make up artists. We make very few of our own products ( although one day?..) which leaves us the owners, as working make up artists, in the unique position of stocking only products that we think work well. Make up Artist Provisions celebrated its ten year anniversary in 2006, and between the owners, Jan Kate and Natalie we have over sixty years experience in film/TV make up/hair! Trends change in make up very quickly and as we are all working full time we are able to incorporate the trends easily into the stock on the shelves.

Many thanks for your time and we always appreciate feedback.

Finally an apology for some products that you may have seen in our shop but are not on our website that is because, believe it or not, some companies refuse to let us sell their products over the web! finally due to possible legal action from a large company that felt our logo and name was possibly confusingly similar to theirs, we have taken the somewhat unusual step of changing our name, by a flip of the logo to PAM - Provisions for Artists of Make up! PAM is here to help you.
